Back country food/cooking for eight days

- Water filters (RAY – MSR micro) (CHRIS – second filter)
- Chemical/peroxide water system (RAY)
- Water bag 20L this is so we can filter in camp instead of stream side. (RAY)
- Gatorade (RAY – enough powder for 15 or 20 gallons)

- Pots & Pans (RAY – 1x 12″ fry, 2x 2 liter and 1x 4 liter)
- Cutting board
- Cooking cleanup kit – scrubby, bio soap, dish towel

- Local cell phone – We’ll be out of cell phone range a lot of the time but we’ll also be in cell phone range a lot of the time. (JUSTIN yours is probably the best because it’s loaded with useful local contacts ;-) ANDRES as backup)
Personal Gear List
- Backpack – the porters are slated to carry up to 20 kilos in a pack you provide
- Day pack or fanny pack – porters will carry your big pack.
- Sleeping pad
- Sleeping bag
- Hammock
- Pillow
Daytime food and snacks for seven-ten days (we can shop in Buenos Aires for the last 3 days)
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Snacks
- Plate, bowl, spoon, knife, fork, chopsticks – whatever you want to eat off of and eat with
- Water bottles, bags – whatever you want to drink from on the trail. It takes time to get out and use the filter and I’m not sure how frequently we’ll hit good water sources so you’ll want to carry at least a couple liters
- Personal juice boxes – if you want to drink anything other than water or the community Gatorade bring it.
Personal first aid
- First Aid Kit – if you have a personal kit by all means bring it. The more the merrier. Especially if you have foot care stuff that you like bring that.
- Medication – if you are taking anything bring it AND let us know what it is so we can tell emergency/hospital if necessary ALSO – if you are allergic to anything let us know (RAY – allergic to penicillin)
- Vitamins if you use them
- Sunscreen
- Mosquito repellent
