Pacuare Gilligan’s Island The Pacuare river to the tune of the ‘Gilligan’s Island’ theme song… Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip That started from this tropic port aboard this tiny ship… The mate was a mighty sailing man, the skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day for a three hour tour, a three hour tour…James, Ray, Sue, Minnie, David and the skipper-aka Kristin. Luis our rescue kayaker took the photo. The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed… If not for the courage of the fearless crew the minnow would be lost, the minnow would be lost… The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle With Gilligan, the Skipper too The millionaire and his wife, The movie star, the professor (he really is a professor) and Mary Ann, here on Gilligans Isle. After taking a break at the waterfall it was back to the Pacuare river rapids It took a couple of weeks of careful planning to talk my mom into white water rafting. After we talked her into it she had more fun than anyone. Look at the smile on her face peeking out from under my arm. Every picture she has a grin from ear to ear. Clearing the class four is well worth a high five on the Pacuare river in Costa Rica I promise I won’t push you under next time… Goofing around in the pool beneath the waterfall We could tell when Kristin yelled get down she ment it. Other beautiful waterfalls cascaded down the canyon walls into the Pacuare river Wondering if we had fun? Just look at that delirious grin for your answer. Good thing the rafts are self bailing because we were more under than on top of this one! I don’t think Kristin steered us wrong once You won’t want this rafting trip to end with the sunset and by pausing in the middle for one or two nights at a riverside rustic camp you can turn it into one of Costa Rica’s iconic adventures.
