If you don’t know how to search the contents of a webpage it’s high time to learn
On a desktop or laptop – press ctrl+f and type what you’re looking for. Modern browsers will automatically scroll to the first instance and then skip to the next every time you hit enter.
On an i-phone or i-pad – type what you are looking for into the little search box at the top of the screen. Swipe down to the bottom of the results (past previously viewed webpages, Google results etc.) where it says
On This Page (15 matches)
Find “searchterm”
and click on Find “searchterm”
On an Android phone – it’s the same as the above for an i-phone except you have to click the little magnifying glass icon.
That’s it.
Now that you know how you’re going to find yourself using this handy little feature all the time. It’s a bazillion times faster than flicking through fifty screens and especially helpful when what you’re looking for isn’t even in the page. It takes forever to carefully scan a long page visually so let your device do it in milliseconds instead!
