This nine hour expedition (departures from San José) to the Río Sarapiquí includes a little of everything. If you've got the stamina it's a great introduction to Costa Rica. Includes naturalist guide, 1 ½ hours boat ride (abundant wildlife viewing opportunities along the way), horseback ride(though pasture and forest to the site), lunch, canopy adventure (platforms and cable traverses), coffee and snacks, frog sanctuary, and a/c bus (either via Poás volcano or Braulio Carrillo National Park depending on preference).
