Playa Biesanz

Playa Biesanz

Playa Biesanz is in a protected cove where you can rent an umbrella, storage box and loungers ~ $30 per hour or $50 all day for 4. Crude showers and toilets are $5 under the trees at the north end of the beach near the trail up to the road and cocktail waitresses cruise the beach offering shots, simple drinks and beers for $5. Of course it’s unlicensed, not taxed and completely illegal. The conversation with our supplier was fascinating as he described the mafia like tactics that competing gangs use to stake out the prime real estate just above high tide line, the shakedowns by the police and how when things get hot they store the equipment over night under tarps in rented fishing boats anchored offshore where the terrestrial enforcement can’t go.
