When is the Best Time to Travel to Costa Rica?
A lot of factors go into determining the ideal time to visit Costa Rica. Most people consider weather very important and even though they know they are headed to the rain forest they don't want to be inundated with downpours every day.
Fortunately there are several months every year where bone dry beach weather is almost guaranteed (especially on the beaches of Guanacaste and the Nicoya Peninsula. Other factors like wildlife seasonal activity (turtle nesting, whale and quetzal migration etc.), cultural events like holidays and festivals, cost and crowds also play a big role in choices.
