Coco Loco Adventure

Day 1:  Welcome to Costa Rica!  Upon arrival to Juan Santamaria International Airport, you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Toucan Maps Inc. representative. A Private transfer will then be provided to Hotel el Silencio del Campo.  This is a unique bungalow style hotel located right in front of Arenal Volcano, in La Fortuna.  During your stay, you will enjoy a private bungalow equipped with two queen beds, A/C, cable tv, small refrigerator, coffee maker, and patio providing an outstanding view of Arenal Volcano.  After a long day of adventuring, you will be able to cool down in the pool or unwind in their private hot spring fed pool.  Breakfast included daily.

Day 2:  After a morning and early afternoon of becoming acclimated with your new surroundings, you will be guided on an easy hike through the rain forest at the base of Arenal Volcano. Your bilingual guide will point out some of the many wonders of the tropical forest and with a little luck point out wildlife such as monkeys and sloths.  When you reach the clearing, you will be at the closest safe observation point.  A drink will be provided and hopefully with a little cooperation from Mother Nature, you will have the opportunity to view lava spewing from the volcano.

(Hot Springs and dinner options such as Baldi, Ecotermales, The Springs or Tabacon can be added for an additional charge)

Day 3:  Today is an awesome day of explosive adventure, rafting on the Rio Toro.  This is a Class III & IV river that will blow you away. 
Your bilingual professional guides will help you navigate through rushing rapids on one of Costa Rica's premier whitewater rivers.  This fun filled adventure is not for the faint of heart, but do not let that discourage you.  Safety kayakers will accompany you the whole way.  After a fun day on the water, a hearty lunch will be provided.

Day 4:  An amazing day of adrenaline fueled adventure awaits you!  Today, you will be guided through "The Lost Canyon" on a thrilling canyoning adventure.  This tour will take you through a tropical canyon in the middle of the jungle.  As you and your team make your way through the canyon, guides will assist you through a series of 4 rappels, wade through streams, jump into pools and have some serious fun.  After your adventure, a hearty typical lunch will be provided.

Day 5:  Why drive when you can go on the ultimate transfer to Monteverde?  After being picked up from your hotel, you will be driven to Lake Arenal to meet your boat transfer.  The boat ride takes approximately 45 minutes to the other side, where you will be sized up and saddled in for the horseback ride towards Monteverde. 

Once you reach the stables, another transfer will be waiting to take you to the Trapp Family Lodge.  This is the closest lodge to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and is surrounded by cloud forest.  During your stay, you will enjoy a spacious Superior Room equipped with two queen size beds, Telephone, hairdryer, cable TV, and a great view to the cloud forest.  Breakfast included daily.

Day 6:  Today you will go on a thrilling ATV adventure through the hills of Monteverde.  Strap on your helmet a hold on tight as we explore the scenic cloud forest countryside.  What better way to experience the Costa Rican back roads and trails than on a quad?

Day 7:  After a week of extreme adventure and fun in the sun, how can we possibly top it off?  How about a high speed, high flying canopy zipline adventure?  Today you will soar through the canopy of the cloud forest on 16 separate cables and top off your adventure with a swing on an enormous Tarzan Swing!

Day 8:  A Private transfer will bring you back to Juan Santamaria International Airport, scheduled to arrive 3 hours prior to your departing flight.
