La Nacion posts their top stories online in English as well as the full version in Spanish for registered users (free registration).

The Tico Times, Costa Rica's leading English Language Newspaper posts its top stories online for free. They also sell online and print subscriptions to the full text version world wide.

There are also several excellent bulletin boards and forums for Costa Rica where you can get up to the minute news and information and post requests for rentals wanted, need a surfboard, camera for sale etc.

Fodor's travel forum for Central America is quite active, and the place to ask if you need information on more upscale travel.

Like Fodors, Frommer's bulletin board will have more information on resorts and rental cars but is significantly less active.
